Let me introduce myself

I’m Heather Lewin – a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor based in London.

Do you feel ready to make decisive changes in your life? Would you like support to navigate a crisis? Perhaps you are struggling in a relationship and wish to learn new ways of communicating and relating to each other.

I work effectively with clients who are experiencing the physical effects of stress, anxiety or trauma. I create a supportive, secure and non-judgemental environment in order to help my clients develop self- awareness therefore gaining clarity and insight into difficulties they are experiencing.

My Approach

Developing steps towards holistic well-being...

I offer techniques (including self-care guidance) that ‘ground’ and calm clients, bringing the mind and body into relationship. Therefore, helping clients to feel energised, empowered and better able to work through their anxiety or trauma.

Collaboration

I proficiently tailor my approach to suit client needs – rather like making a bespoke garment that will fit you and only you!

Creativity

I employ a range of therapeutic approaches in supporting my clients. Alongside talking together, creative interventions may be suggested as a way of accessing your deeper thoughts. For example, working with art can be a powerful way to visually express emotions. Art can be used to connect body, mind and soul.

Journey

I aim to ‘journey’ with my clients, at their pace, as they develop their ability to explore, understand and make lasting changes for themselves. Clients are encouraged to discover their inner resources and to develop ‘tools’ that are unique for them.

Therapy is a positive way to deal with trauma, pain, or any issue you have in life so you can become a healthier, happier, more peaceful person. When you develop coping skills, learn how to let go of negativity, set boundaries, or deal with certain situations in a positive manner, you can finally start living that full life you’ve always pictured.

The therapeutic relationship between client and counsellor is an important one. A sense of connection and being understood by your counsellor helps you to speak openly and with a sense of freedom that you are truly being seen and heard.

Through a structured process, I can offer you professional help with any emotional, psychological or mental health problems.

Talk to me first

As a first step you can call or email me to arrange a free telephone consultation.

Complete an initial assessment

Next step, we will complete an initial assessment. Together, we look at why you are seeking counselling and discuss the areas of your life that you wish to improve.

Book your sessions

If after our initial meeting, we agree to work together, we can arrange regular session times. Weekly sessions are the most effective frequency.
Sessions are usually at the same time and on the same day each week.
